"Members of the mental health foundation trust have elected me as an NSFT public governor for Suffolk. One of my duties is to listen to local people and find out what Trust services are actually like on the ground for service users and carers. Also whether the Trust is an organisation that local charities and organisations can easily work with in partnership. I attend VASP network meetings because people tell me how the Trust is for them. I can then represent their views and issues at the highest level in the Trust. VASP people are also friendly and welcoming and a pleasure to meet with."
